I added the Debian Scribus source to /etc/apt/sources.list with

steve at bxcomp01:~$sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list

Add this at the bottom:

## Debian Scribus for SFD Flier
deb http://debian.scribus.net/debian dapper main non-free

Then do:
steve at bxcomp01:~$sudo apt-get update
steve at bxcomp01:~$sudo apt-get upgrade

Then use Synaptic Package Manager and search for Scribus and you should
be able to install Scribus 1.3.3 (the CVS version).

Hope this helps!
